The first BBE series will focus on SBIR/STTR processes and opportunities. SBIR is the acronym for Small Business Innovation Research and STTR is the acronym for Small Business Technology Transfer. These are programs to expand funding opportunities in the federal innovation research and development arena. Businesses of all sizes can benefit by learning how to participate in these programs.
The speaker for the series is Mr. Dick McNamara. He has provided many years of technical expertise and leadership to the Department of the Navy and is known for his advocacy for small businesses to contribute to the acquisition of cutting edge technology.

How to Educate Your Customer for Phase III Awards
These morning meetings are designed to bring practical information to help businesses in the submarine and undersea communities. They are held at the NSL Headquarters office. A continental breakfast buffet is provided at 7:30. At 8:00, the 30-45 minute talk is followed by time for questions, enabling attendees to get more information specific to their objectives.
